Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints

Athletes training with AJR this winter are expected to register for and compete in the Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints. Mid-Atlantics are scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Alexandria, VA. Mid-Atlantics will be a team focus for the winter training season. It is an individual competition in which each rower races on an ergometer for time.

All AJR rowers 17 years and younger will compete in the Junior 2000m age 17 category.  Do not register for the younger categories because they do not do a 2000m race.  If you are a lightweight, you may register in the Junior 2000 Lightweight age 17 category.

All AJR rowers who are 18-19 years of age, will compete in that age category either in the lightweight or open weight categories.  Any questions on which race you should register for, please email me or Coach Todd at tubaduck@mac.com.

General information about Mid-Atlantics can be found at http://www.ergsprints.com/.  The cost of the 2017 Mid-Atlantics is $20 – $30 depending on when you register. If you register on/before January 8th, the cost will be $20.  If you register after January 7th, the cost will be $30.

Because each rower must register themselves individually online for this competition, the entry fee is not covered by the cost of winter training.

All participants of the Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints will also be required at minimum to have signed an online waiver through USRowing.
